Having grown up in the Manya Krobo district, where bead making is a predominant activity, Michael became interested in this creative industry that largely recycles glass into beautiful fashion accessories. Although both of his parents were farmers, he chose to study bead making and jewelry. Thanks to his love for learning and innovation, he befriended master glassblowers in Europe and elsewhere.
His business is currently the only glassblowing company in Ghana and West Africa. This family business uses broken bottles, broken louver blades, discarded television screens, and other glass waste to produce flower vases, paperweights, among other decorative and functional objects.
